Fixed rental conditions
Welcome to a relaxing stay for everyone, where our expectations and rules are set out in the rental conditions.
Stjerne Camping's rental conditions
1. The rental agreement applies only to the individuals listed in the agreement. Children over the age of 18 are not automatically covered by the rental agreement. They may be added to the rental agreement for an agreed-upon fixed additional fee. The trailer must not be older than the 2003 model year, and it is not possible to take over a trailer that is already on the site from before that year.
2. It is not permitted to take up permanent residence at the campground, nor may anyone register with the national registry at the campground. The campground may be used for leisure, vacations, weekends, and holidays.
3. If you need urgent assistance between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, please call +45 75277054. The camp manager will assist you and, if necessary, remotely operate the entrance gate.
4. Please also refer to the campground regulations, our general site rules, and the price list, which are updated annually and as needed. Guests are responsible for keeping themselves informed of the current rules. Guests are required to notify the campground of any changes to their address, email address, phone number, etc.
5. The landlord reserves the right to make changes to the current price list at any time. Any changes will be announced via the digital newsletter, as well as through notices posted at the front desk and on the website.
6. It is the tenant’s responsibility to sign up for the campground’s newsletter. This can be done at the front desk; please note that newsletters may sometimes end up in the “spam” or junk mail folder.
7. The rent for the seasonal site itself (including any additional charges, such as for dogs) must be paid no later than the first day of the season, in accordance with the current price list.
8. Electric (and hybrid) vehicles may not be charged using the charging stations on the premises. Violations of this rule will result in a fine of at least 1,000 DKK. Please use the charging stations in front of the reception desk.
9. Electricity packages of 50 kWh or 100 kWh must be purchased in advance. Any unused electricity will not be refunded. Our electronic electricity meters automatically record consumption. Electricity consumption can be tracked in the c-wallet web app. The tenant is responsible for purchasing a new electricity package in a timely manner. Any additional meters are considered solely as the tenant’s own backup.
10. The tenant is always responsible for their own electrical connection. The campground cannot be held liable for any power outages or similar issues.
11. If the terms of payment are not met, the camp manager is entitled to terminate the lease agreement with immediate effect, see sections 25–27.
12. The landlord may terminate the lease agreement in the event of difficulties in cooperation. If the tenant decides to leave the campground before the agreed-upon date, the tenant is therefore not entitled to a refund of any portion of the rent.
13. The tenant is required to register both day visitors and overnight guests upon their arrival. Overnight guests must pay the standard accommodation fee.
14. Day visitors are not permitted to drive onto the campground; they must park in the parking lot outside the campground. Day visitors who remain on the campground after 11:00 p.m. will be considered overnight guests and charged the standard overnight fee.
15. Dogs are allowed on the campground. Fees apply according to the current price list. Dogs must always be kept on a leash and walked outside the campground or in the designated dog-walking area. Dog waste must be picked up.
16. The provided containers may only be used for regular household waste. Food waste, paper/cardboard, food/beverage cartons, mixed plastics, glass/bottles, metal cans, and general waste must be sorted into the designated containers. Other waste (e.g., hazardous waste, chairs, refrigerators, carpets, awnings, etc.) must be taken by the tenant to the recycling center. Batteries, small electrical items, etc., can be disposed of at the recycling station at the end of the parking lot by the supermarket. The container area is under video surveillance.
17. During the rental period, the renter is entitled to use the seasonal site (in compliance with spacing and placement rules) for setting up a tent, a caravan with an awning, or (but not) a motorhome. Only one car may be parked at a time on the seasonal site. Trailers and similar vehicles may only be brought onto and stored at the seasonal site with prior approval from the camp manager (in compliance with distance and placement rules).
18. The leased space must be kept in a natural, neat, and tidy condition at all times. The tenant is responsible for mowing the grass. See sections 34–51.
19. It is not permitted to cut through vegetation or fences; roads and trails must be used.
20. Between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, all motorized vehicles are prohibited on the campground. At other times, the general speed limit is 15 km/h, and we ask that you refrain from unnecessary driving.
21. The campground’s general rules and regulations must be observed. The rules and regulations are available at the campground (and under “Campground Rules” on this website).
22. If the trailer is not registered, it must be registered with the ID number system. This can be done for a fee at the front desk.
23. The landlord reserves the right to terminate the lease agreement with three months’ notice. The tenant may be required (in connection with any work being carried out at the campground) to move to another unit on the premises. In such cases, the landlord will always endeavor to provide notice as far in advance as possible.
24. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the seasonal site must be cleared, cleaned, and maintained by the tenant on the date the lease expires. If the tenant fails to perform the necessary work, the camp manager is entitled to have it performed, for which the tenant will be charged a fixed minimum fee of 600 DKK. If the maintenance work takes more than 1 hour, an additional 600 DKK will be charged per hour or part thereof.
25. The following shall be considered a material breach of the rental agreement:
Failure by the tenant, the tenant’s household, or the tenant’s guests to comply with the provisions of “Stjerne Camping’s Rental Terms and Conditions” and “Site Rules.”
Failure to pay the fees specified in the agreement in a timely manner. (When reminders are sent, an additional processing fee of DKK 150 + any costs will be added to the amount owed.)
The above list of what is considered a material breach is merely illustrative and is not exhaustive.
26. In the event of a material breach, the campground manager is entitled to immediately evict the tenant from the campground and terminate the lease agreement with immediate effect. If the tenant owes any amount in connection with the termination or expiration of the lease, the campground manager reserves the right, in addition to taking the usual legal steps, to exercise a right of retention over the tenant’s trailer until the outstanding amount is paid. (However, this is subject to the condition that the tenant has been unsuccessfully requested, with 8 days’ notice, to pay the outstanding amount, collect the caravan, and vacate the seasonal pitch.)
As a last resort, the lessor reserves the right to tow the caravan to a public area and refer the matter to the police.
27. Any dispute that may arise between the parties in connection with this agreement shall be settled by the court in Esbjerg.
28. All amounts include 25% VAT. We reserve the right to adjust prices in the event of increases in VAT or other taxes.
Mobility requirements for caravans
29. The tow bar must be functional and securely attached to the trailer.
30. The trailer must be movable at all times. For example, anti-theft devices must not be used on the trailer’s hitch, as the lessor must be able to move the trailer in the event of an emergency.
31. The trailer must be equipped with serviceable rims and tires.
32. It is permitted to prop up the caravan's support legs.
33. With the exception of any awning that must be able to be quickly removed, there must be no small or large extensions or shelters made of materials such as wood, waterproof plywood, or similar materials.
Layout of unit space
34. Keep your unit’s area natural, simple, and tidy—better to have too little than too much (max. 4 pots/decorations). If in doubt, ask the camp director. Take care of your own unit: Clear the area and mow the grass. Ensure that passage is always possible behind the area, between the sites, and on all paths.
35. You must remain within your own designated space; that is, do not extend onto the road or onto your neighbor’s space. You must also comply with the fire department’s requirement of a minimum distance of 3 meters from your neighbor [your items (trailer/awning/tool tent) are considered a single unit, as are your neighbor’s items]. (Need help with proper placement? Ask for our layout diagrams.)
36. Caravans, awnings, storage tents, and other structures must be placed at least 1.5 meters from the center of the windbreak, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the landlord.
37. As a general rule, the landlord is responsible for mowing and trimming the campsite’s windbreaks and other shared vegetation to ensure a neat, well-maintained, and uniform appearance. Therefore, the tenant must ensure unobstructed access to windbreaks and vegetation so that necessary maintenance can be performed. Caravans, awnings, tool tents, windbreaks, furniture, storage units, and other items must therefore not obstruct access. The landlord typically trims and prunes hedges and trees in the fall but reserves the right to perform additional maintenance as needed.
38. Without prior agreement with the landlord, you may not prune, cut down, or alter existing vegetation, perform significant trimming of hedges, or plant new vegetation on or near the property.
39. If the landlord is unable to perform necessary maintenance due to lack of access or because items need to be moved, a fee of 600 DKK per visit and 600 DKK per hour or part thereof may be charged.
40. Electrical cables, etc., must be visible and positioned so that they can be easily identified during routine maintenance work. Any damage to concealed or inadequately marked installations is the tenant’s sole responsibility and expense. For example, if electrical cables are damaged due to a lack of visibility, this will never give rise to a claim for compensation against the landlord.
41. The tenant is responsible for providing the electrical cables from the trailer to the electrical box. An approved camping cable must be used; it must be no longer than 25 meters, have a wire cross-section of at least 2.5 mm², and be equipped with waterproof blue CEE plugs at both ends. The cable must also be approved for outdoor use and must never be coiled up during use to prevent overheating.
42. If the landlord is required to contact an electrician or contractor and a fault is found in the tenant’s electrical cable or trailer, etc., the tenant is responsible for the bill.
43. All screens, fences, etc., must be made of suitable fabric in subdued, natural (earth-tone) colors (black, brown, gray, moss green…). Wooden structures are not permitted. Winds can be strong in Vejers and snow can be heavy: Therefore, always keep load capacity in mind and ensure that windbreaks and tents are securely fastened. We recommend removing summer awnings and windbreak structures during the winter months; that is, if the windbreak is removed, the posts or stakes supporting it must also be removed.
44. Pegs must not be driven more than 30 cm into the ground.
45. Regarding the installation of dog fencing, please contact the camp manager first. The following types of dog fencing are permitted (without wooden components and with a maximum height of 1 m): mesh dog fencing / camping dog fencing, fixed dog fencing sections made of metal or plastic, and windbreaks in subdued, earth-toned colors. Fences and windbreaks must be set up neatly and securely; they must be maintained regularly. Worn-out, DIY “it’ll do” solutions are not accepted.
46. If you are unable to regularly monitor your unit, dog fence, or windbreak, we ask that you remove them during extended absences or during the winter months.
47. A solid, permanent floor is permitted only inside the awning. Any other type of “floor” outside the awning—such as a mat or similar item—must be removed when you are not spending the night at the campsite.
48. Antennas may only be erected if they are attached to the trailer. They must not extend more than 1 meter above the trailer. Any flagpole must be shorter than the trailer. The flag must be taken down when the guest leaves the campground.
49. Upon termination of the lease agreement, the tenant must clear the unit site. The tenant shall fill in any holes and mow the grass as needed. (See Section 24)
50. If the rules regarding the maintenance and layout of the campsite are not followed, the camp manager may charge the camper a fee and set a deadline for rectification.
51. After signing the contract, you are responsible for checking for any new updates to StjerneCamping’s rental terms and conditions. The latest updates are always available at www.stjernecamping/fastligger-lejebetingelser.
