Vejers Strand is one of the few places in Denmark where you can take your car directly to the beach, making it easy to spend the whole day by the water, whether you want to swim, fish or just relax with a good book.

The North Sea is known for its magnificent nature and fresh air - but also for its changeable weather. The sun can shine one hour and the wind can pick up the next, and that's part of the charm. With a little preparation and the right packing, you're well equipped to enjoy the beach, the moors and camping life - whatever the weather and the day brings.

Here's a short packing list of the most practical things to bring for a great camping vacation on the west coast:

• Wind and waterproof jacket - even in summer

• Great shoes for beach, dunes and nature walks

• Swimwear and towels

• Warm sweater for chilly evenings

• Sunscreen and sun hat for bright days

• Flashlight - especially if kids play outside after dark

• Rubber boots and extra change of clothes for the little ones

• Cooler bag and water bottle for trips and excursions

Yes, dogs are very welcome here - as long as they are kept on a leash and with consideration for other guests.

The vast majority of pitches have access to electricity. You can select this when you book online or contact us to find out more.

Do I need to book in advance or can I just show up?
We recommend booking in advance, especially in high season - but you are also welcome to drop by spontaneously if we have availability.

What facilities are available at the campsite?
We have modern sanitary buildings, barbecue areas, playground, ball field and a cozy animal area - something for both young and old. See our facilities here.  

What does it cost to camp with you?
Prices vary according to season, space and type of accommodation. You can see prices for the different types of accommodation here.

Are you open all year round?
Yes, Stjerne Camping is open all year round. This means you can also enjoy a camping vacation during the quieter months - autumn, winter and spring.

What are the shopping options?
You don't even have to leave the site to shop - we have our own well-stocked supermarket open every day of the year. Here you'll find everything from freshly baked bread, fruit and vegetables to fine wines, butchery products and sweets.

In addition, the town of Vejers is only a few minutes away and offers several shops, kiosks and cafés.

How far is the beach?
It only takes a few minutes to walk or cycle to Vejers Strand, and it's ideal to bring a packed lunch or beach bag.

Can we bring our bikes?
Yes, the area around Vejers is ideal for cycling and you are very welcome to bring bikes. You can also rent bikes in the area.
