Stjerne Camping is located in the middle of the North Sea Nature Park, and there is plenty of space for dogs here. Dunes, forests, and miles of beaches await just outside the campsite, and we have gone the extra mile to ensure that both you and your dog enjoy your stay.
The west coast is known for its endless sandy beaches and wild, authentic sea. Vejers Beach is only 1.5 km away and offers your dog plenty of space to run, play, and swim. You can also drive directly onto the beach with your car, making it easy to get your beach gear and tired dogs back home after a long day.
If you are looking for a campsite on the west coast where you can bring your dog, camping at Vejers Strand is an obvious choice. From here, you have access to heathland, forest, and beach – plenty of opportunities for long walks and sniffing discovery tours.
Activities and excursions with dogs
Camping on the west coast offers plenty of opportunities for shared experiences with your dog. The beach at Vejers stretches for miles and is ideal for long walks. The atmosphere is particularly special in the early morning hours or in the evening when the sun sets over the North Sea.
The dunes around Vejers are a paradise for curious dogs. Here you can follow the trails through the beautiful landscape, and your dog will have plenty to sniff along the way. You may even spot red deer, which live in the area around the campsite.
Oksbøl Red Deer Reserve is only a short drive away and is a great destination for a day trip. Here you can experience the impressive red deer in their natural surroundings, and the many trails are ideal for hiking with your dog.
Vesterhavet Nature Park surrounds the campsite with dunes, forest, and sea—perfect for long walks with your dog.

Facilities at Stjerne Camping
We know that a good vacation with your dog requires the right setting. That's why we've gone the extra mile for our four-legged guests at our campsite by the North Sea.
Dog bath, dog park, and agility course
We offer a free dog bath with a hair dryer, so your dog can be washed and dried after a swim in the sea or a muddy walk in the woods. We also have a fenced-in dog park where your dog can run freely and play with other dogs, as well as an agility course for the more active ones.
Seats and service
The campsite itself has around 250 pitches, many of them with electricity and plenty of space for caravans, motorhomes, or tents. Attractive hedges separate the pitches from each other, so you and your dog can enjoy some peace and privacy. Our bathrooms are modern and kept clean and inviting, with family bathrooms, handicap-accessible facilities, and changing rooms for the youngest campers.
Have you forgotten dog food or snacks for your trip? Our on-site supermarket is open 24 hours a day, all year round, so you can always get what you need.
Rules that give everyone peace of mind
To ensure that the campsite remains pleasant for all guests, we have a few simple rules for dogs here. Dogs must be kept on a leash on the campsite, and walking must take place either outside the campsite or in our fenced-in dog area. We also ask that you pick up after your dog so that the campsite remains pleasant for everyone. Dog bags are available at reception.
During the summer months, there are specific times and areas on the beach where dogs are allowed to run freely. The rest of the year, you have the beach almost to yourselves.
